DigiChecks Partners at LDAC Summer School and Workshop in Matera
DigiChecks partners attended the Linked Data in Architecture and Construction (LDAC) Summer School and Workshop. Attendees included Mathias Bonduel and Hussein Aldor from Neanex, Ruben Verstraeten from Universiteit Gent, and Emma Garralaga from Bureau Veritas Construction, along with Pablo Legazpi from Building Digital Twin Association (BDTA). The event took place from June 12th through June 16th in Matera, Italy.
Mathias Bonduel delivered a summer school lecture on ontologies and product data. The importance of linking properties and geometry was stressed by him. Beyond his lecture, Mathias contributed to the summer school hackathon, which focused on data validation using SHACL (Shapes Constraint Language). His mentorship was one of three groups that won the second prize, showcasing the consortium’s dedication to practical problem-solving and innovative approaches.
The LDAC Summer School (12-14 June 2023) and the 11th Linked Data in Architecture and Construction Workshop (15-16 June 2023) provided a platform for researchers, industry stakeholders, and standardization bodies from the Linked Building Data (LBD) community to convene. The event focused on exploring technical and applied research related to the semantic web, linked data, and web of data technologies in the architecture and construction domains.
The participation of the DigiChecks partners solidified the consortium’s commitment to driving innovation in the construction sectors. Their contributions to the LDAC Summer School and Workshop highlighted the advancing linked data and web technologies in the industry.
