DigiChecks at the High-Level Construction Forum

DigiChecks has participated at the High-Level Construction Forum (HLCF), a meeting to initiate the co-creation process of a transition pathway towards a green, digital, and resilient construction ecosystem, organised by the European Commission.
The virtual meeting was held last 19th to 20th of October, where two webinars were organised and each one focused on the following topics:
- New ways of building: 3D printing, prefabricated modules, automation, robotics, and other ways to innovate the construction process (19.10, 09:30 – 12:30 CET).
- New ways of collecting and using data for construction: Digital permits and logbooks, earth observation, drones, 3D scanning and other ways to collect data in construction (20.10, 14:00 – 16:30 CET).
Last 20th of October, DigiChecks has participated in a panel of discussion about Digitalisation and automatization of the building permits, together with ACCORD Project and CHKdpd. Both European projects are funded under the same call as DigiChecks, on “HORIZON-CL4-2021-TWIN-TRANSITION-01-10”.
The panel of discussion was moderated by Mr Eleftherios Bourdakis, Policy Adviser at European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA). Also, there were the following spokesperson from each project:
- Ms Francesca Noardo, Open Geospatial Consortium, from CHEK – Change toolkit for digital building permit.
- Ms Rita Lavikka, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, from ACCORD – Automated Compliance Checks for Construction, Renovation or Demolition Works.
- Mr Ignacio Rincon, FCC Construcción, & Mr Mark Moerman, Digital Construction, from DigiChecks.
During the session, representatives from industry, EU countries, European Commission, social partners, and other stakeholders joined to exchange on the main priorities and themes of the HLCF.
